Neuroscience/Aging

We are discovering the mechanisms of cellular neurotoxicity in brain cells that affect common life threatening diseases such as cardiovascular, Parkinson’s disease, neurodegenerative diseases and aging-related issues.

Our novel discoveries include G protein-coupled receptor signaling, effects of environmental pollutants on neurogenesis, and purinergic neurotransmission in the intestine.
