Jinda Fan , PhD
Biography
Dr. Jinda Fan serves as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Michigan State University. His multidisciplinary research program integrates the design, synthesis, and biological validation of next-generation radiopharmaceuticals to address critical needs in oncology, neuroscience, and metabolic diseases. Dr. Fan’s technical expertise encompasses the development of advanced PET radiotracers (18F, 64Cu and 124I) and high-potency targeted alpha-particle therapies(212Pb, 212Bi, 225Ac and 213Bi). Currently, Dr. Fan is advancing novel, efficient radiolabeling methodologies and molecular targeting strategies. A key focus of his work is the quantification of soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) as a biomarker for neuroinflammation. By championing a theranostic framework that combines diagnostic precision with targeted therapy, Dr. Fan facilitates the translation of laboratory breakthroughs into clinical practice, through manufacturing human grade radiopharmaceuticals in the MSU Radiopharmacy cGMP facility.
